The Maximo Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) add-on was originally built for Oil and Gas industry requirements, but the new release now provides function that provides solutions to industries well beyond Oil and Gas.
In our latest post, Greg Hoile, VP US Operations, Interloc Solutions, shares his thoughts on why every industry should be taking a second look at the "new" Maximo HSE Solution. Read on to see how your business can benefit.
HSE is applicable to any industry that uses a workforce to maintain assets. It provides the full historic management of changes to maintenance and operating procedures that are associated with lessons learned and improvements that make the processes more efficient.
HSE was born from an inherent requirement in Oil and Gas to fundamentally manage change to what are very expensive and very rigid processes, once they are implemented. If a change needed to be made, proper analysis must justify the change. If a safety issue occurred, full definition of the safety issue itself and its implications were required in order to understand what should be done to correct the problem. All such issues are equally critical in all industries - long-standing implementations of Maximo could significantly benefit from the use of HSE to determine exactly where to invest in process improvements, and to help ensure the safety of those who work to maintain the assets every day.
These are not just Oil & Gas concerns; they affect every industry.
