'Informer Developer' Maximo Application is Unavailable after Upgrading to Maximo 7.6.1.2

Mobile Informer

On July 24, 2020, IBM Software released Feature Pack 7.6.1.2 for Maximo Asset Management. After upgrading to Maximo 7.6.1.2, the Informer Administration Maximo application will remain available, but Informer Developer will simply show a blank page. When this occurs, the system logs may include complaints about License errors and/or ClassNotFoundExceptions.

Impacted Mobile Informer Server Versions/components

All Informer Server versions up to and including 5.8.4

Corrective Actions/Resolution:

This issue occurs only when using the Tivoli's Process Automation Suite Configuration application ("ConfigUI"), which deletes some files Informer installs and relies upon.

To correct this issue, re-run the Informer installer, then rebuild+redeploy the EAR(s) manually using `buildmaximoearwas8.sh` (or similar) and deploying via the WebSphere console, bypassing ConfigUI.

or, update to Informer Server 5.8.5 or later. The latest version of Informer Server can be downloaded here.

If your Maximo system has not yet been updated to Informer 7.6.1.2, a proactive update to Informer 5.8.6 will prevent this issue from arising..

Release Notes for this update are available here. As with any Mobile Informer Server update, Interloc recommends that you contact Interloc Support to discuss and ensure this update is compatible with your Mobile Informer implementation prior to installing any server update.
